Start with the problem
I look at what the software needs to do, who will maintain it, and where it will run before choosing the tools.
I started programming at 12, and I'm still actively building software systems today. I'm a software architect and senior engineer with more than 12 years of professional experience.
I take pride in being a T-shaped engineer: depth in backend development and architecture, with practical experience across frontend, mobile development, DevOps, and multiple stacks beyond PHP. I can build the web or mobile interface, implement the backend, and deploy and operate the system.
I work closely with clients, domain experts, and other engineers, and I've led small teams and mentored developers. Understanding how the pieces fit together helps me make informed technical decisions and take responsibility for the complete solution.

When working with an unfamiliar stack, I start with small, working changes to understand how the system fits together.
I use AI to help with research and implementation, then check the results through tests, review, and measurements.
I'm a husband and father of two, and most of my time outside work is spent with my wife and children. I enjoy being part of their everyday lives, watching the kids grow, and making time for the things we can do together.
I love spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains. Hiking and off-roading give me a chance to explore new places, follow unfamiliar trails, and take in the scenery. I enjoy the fresh air and a change of pace.
